    Very sad news.

Harald Ossberger was a very fine pianist. His many activities included being Henryk Szeryng’s piano partner in the 80s.

I remember Harald as an excellent teacher. He was erudite, supportive, and a catalyst for deep conversations where he seemed unafraid to speak his mind. He was one of the few professors (at least back in the 80s) who asked the students to address him by his first name and in the informal second person pronoun (“du”, not “Sie”).
