This was actually the first original song Mick Jagger and Keith Richards wrote together. Their manager, Andrew Oldham, locked them in a room and kept them there until they wrote something. They ended up giving it to Marianne Faithful, who recorded it before they did.
Her career certainly ended up in a very different place from what she was in this video.

    • Nijinsky says:

I’m really sorry about that already put on here would it be insulting you ore anyone else. But I’ve been hearing this strange voice, seriously, I have, it was saying: “He really was Mozart, and he did get naked.”

  • E says:

She was 17 when she first sang this.

  • Nijinsky says:

Oh WOW! Is this another version of J K Rowling has her son arrest? What for?

    • Nijinsky says:

Oh sorry, I meant: Air-a$d-Ted. Fred, if I have to hear ONE MORE TIME, that something isn’t for enough money, you’re going to JAIL!

      • Fred says:

Vaslav, please calm down and take your meds. Rite of Spring was 108 years ago, no one remembers the choreography.

        • Nijinsky says:

Hun, try a little less HeEEEEEE-Lie-um!?

        • Nijinsky says:

And! ENOUGH! As if I have 1000 more years minus what you’ll have to figure out when you get your counting straight to arrive at anything correct, were it really that long and would repeat as if it were what you somehow added up somewhere between certain things that approximate receivers, and that’s even if there’s were or will be any truth to any at all anything coming from your https://acim.org/workbook/lesson-135/: were it that no one remembers what’s from God and isn’t imprisoned by time, nor has left, or is depleted when others think it has… and were it to your liking it’d probably be offered at the zoo with the rest of the wildlife that should be outside free to do what they do naturally. As IF I have nothing better to do than deal with the likes of YOU the next so many and then sum!

  • Greg Bottini says:

Marianne Faithfull is a wonderful singer and one of the true gems of what we here in the US called the “British Invasion”.
She later broke out of Britpop and became a superb chanteuse and excelled in singing songs of Kurt Weill.
    Love ya, Marianne….

  • David A. Boxwell says:

After watching this, I felt like eating a Mars Bar. Deep fried.
