Berlin Phil adds a mobile film studio
mainThis little crate beside the chamber music hall of the Philharmonie is a fully-equipped studio which the orchestra has begun using for outreach work.
For a long time now, the Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation has expressed the wish to be able to also record music projects, family concerts and the performances of the Karajan Academy in the Chamber Music Hall, and to install a video studio offering the same image quality as in the main auditorium Hall of the Philharmonie. However, there was no suitable space. But then came the brilliant idea of a mobile video studio! And now seven small, very discreetly placed Panasonic cameras transmit the image signals from the Chamber Music Hall.
The dream of Karajan 50 years later! But now he would not understand why in the new video we don’t see enough the conductor and too much the musicians!

Karajan was a genius and a giant who gave so many things to the art. I hear frequently his records but the more the read and learn about his life and the more you are desappointted.
