Ben Kouijzer, a music agent at CAA UK specialising in electronic music, was raising funds to combat his cancer diagnosis in Mexico when Covid-19 intervened and he was put on a ventilator. His site announced:

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ben. He fought so hard and we are so so proud of him but in the end it was too much for him. A combination of factors lead to kidney and liver failure and he passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning.

His GoFundMe page had raised quarter of a million pounds.

There is no indication that he died of, or even HAD, Covid, but I guess it’s a sign of the times that his death must be attributed to that virus. Condolences to his friends and family, and may he rest in peace.

  • Sue Sonata Form says:

This is just appalling to read about the death of a person in his 30’s. That just isn’t a fair go!! How very sad for him and his family.

  • Karl says:

An article said he had malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumour (MPNST) in 2019, and had been undergoing alternative treatments in Tijuana. So it doesn’t seem to me that his cancer prognosis was good. Very sad.
