I love Janet Baker, Brigitte Fassbaender and others. But for “um Mitternacht”, I often times think of Christa Ludwig as being ideal.

This had not been posted on the site till either very late on the 13th or very early on the 14th. I checked throughout the 12th and till bedtime on the 13th and there was no Comfort Zone piece. I wondered if you had discontinued it.

Was it the same glitch that keeps telling me I am posting spam, posting too fast (something I am congenitally incapable of due to my typing limitations), posting a duplicate of one yet unreceived post?

Or has someone being playing silly buggers?

  • Edgar Self says:

Great, and tor comparison, Fischer-Dieskau to Leonard Bernstein’s magnificent piano accompaniment on Sony, or their live performance on Myto a few days apart.

  • Bruce says:

José van Dam, with J.-C. Casadesus/Orch. de Lille on the Forlane label is also wonderful.
