Prepared piano?!
I never would have recognized this as being written by the same guy who wrote the previously posted Declaration of Love. That I liked…a lot. This….not so much.
schnittke is totally over-rated , undoubtedly a genius – yet his music is tedious and unpleasant most of the time.
You lost me at “undoubtedly a genius”. The most hackneyed word in the arts racket.
A great piece indeed! And both Gidon and Tatiana are brilliant as ever. One question though: How could that music be under the “daily comfort zone”? This music reflects so much the condition the condition of the modern world and it is anything but a “comfort zone”, rather a “DISCOMFORT ZONE”. But thank you NL!!
Garbage.
My favorite Schnittke: Daniel Hope playing Stille Nacht. Priceless!
