I remember him giving the first known public performance of newly discovered Bach chorale preludes in Yale’s Battell Chapel. My condolences to all who knew and loved him.

Krigbaum was a wonderful man and a fantastic organist. Less well known is that he was an accomplished composer too. His “Processional for the President”, composed specifically for the peculiar voicing of the Newberry organ (using its sublime vox humana, and the echo installed in the back of the hall), sent shivers down the spine of many who’ve passed through that place.
