Visitors are required to wear masks. There will be no interval. Concerts will last 50-70 minutes.

And how will the orchestra invoke self distancing?

  • Ms.Melody says:

What are the economics of having a venue of this size open for 100 patrons?
How much will they charge for tickets to make it even remotely worthwhile, unless it is strictly a PR gesture?
Presumably, they will need support personnel to disinfect before and after, A/C on, etc. And, of course, there is the matter of protecting musicians and others backstage.
    Just wondering…

    • Tamino says:

There is much more in that equation.
The orchestra is fully paid anyway through the state.
And there is a very big non-tangible factor of keeping a professional orchestra mentally focused and well practiced.

      • punchline says:

the orchestra recieves no funding from the state whatsoever, the VPO is a private orchestra. the perfomers including the conductors waived their fees at these 3 concerts.

    • Brian viner says:

Denial is worth over 48 million pounds at his age he should retire to Monaco
And enjoy the nice weather and less tax to pay.

  • Brian viner says:

Muti and Barenboim because of their ages are high risk they are brave men.
