Perhaps Bill Evans beats Satie?

It’s like Ravel, but without the genius. It’s so boring.
Satie is a good example of a composer with restricted creative talent but with great originality. He was one of the best friends of Debussy and helped him with finding his own way, and he inspired many young composers later in life. Like Fauré, he strongly reacted against the romanticism and Wagnerism of Parisian late 19C music life, which helped other composers to liberate themselves from Germanic influences.
His cantata ‘Socrate’ is a masterpiece of cool, dreamy classicism.
