The daughter of Jennifer Rhys-Davies has reported her death this weekend. She was living in Risca, Wales, and had been unwell for some months.

Jennifer sang often at Covent Garden, Glyndebourne and Garsington, as well as in Geneva, Basel and Hanover, among other continental opera houses.

  • Nonbarihunk says:

What a lovely colleague she was. Full of fun yet serious in her art and a fine singer.
    RIP. dear Jennifer.

  • Una says:

    That is very sad news.

  • I last saw her as Berta in Barbiere at the 2018 Grange Festival.

The rare occasion where Berta stole the show and had the biggest ovation of the evening.

  • Pam Harrison says:

You will be so missed Jenny. Rest in Peace.

  • Rhoda Daniels says:

How very sad-Jennifer sang the role of Desdemona for Cadoxton Opera she was utterly mesmerising one of the finest soprano’s and a great person to be around
