  • Michael Korstick says:

He was a real gentleman and a pleasure to work with. I still have very fond memories of playing the Prokofiev Second Concerto under his baton in Nuremberg some 20 years ago.

  • Opera Tourist says:

There are some excellent concerto recordings that he made in the 1970s. An underrated conductor!

  • Ricardo says:

Rest in peace. I played with him a few times (once as soloist on Sæverud’s Romanza) back in the late 80s/early 90s. A nice fellow and fine conductor.

  • Jerome Hoberman says:

How enviable, to read these comments on a conductor’s obituary!
