Bonn Beethoven Competition has Chinese winner
mainThe Chinese pianist Cunmo Yin, 26, was declared winner of the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn.
He takes home €30,000 ($33k).
The audience prize was won overwhelmingly by Yuto Takezawa, 22, from Japan.
Clearly, judges and public were not hearing the same thing.
Cunmo Yin, from Shanghai, is a student at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover.
