Stone drops Munich for Netflix
mainOpera’s current go-to Australian director Simon Stone has told Munich’s Residenztheater he can’t open its season next month.
He’s shooting a Netflix drama in London with Ralph Fiennes.

Stone was named last week as a cornerstone of Bodgan Roscic’s new regime at the Vienna Opera. Well, that bodes well.
his Medea was real shit, very bad and stupid. it was really nothing. he shouldn’t be invited at all again to opera houses. Maybe Netflix is his Thing.
Thought it was great. As did a lot of the people I saw it with judging from the applause.
