The state news agency Tass has announced an October 17 concert with the singer, his son and the viola virtuoso Yuri Bashmet.

The faithful Eugene Kohn will conduct at Crocus City Hall. The repertoire will include arias from Domingo’s 60-year career.

Tass notes that Domingo has been suspended by several US organisations due to sexual misconduct allegations.

  • Mauricio Fernandez says:

Music and politics, the old game again.

  • Emil says:

So, he’s choosing the Charles Dutoit route. Great.

  • Caravaggio says:

Crooks protecting and enabling crooks. We keep watching reruns of this movie, don’t we? If Domingo and his handlers think that flying him far away to earn ovations for decimated artistry will vindicate him from allegations of sexual harrassment and abuse of power, they are mistaken.

    • SMH says:

Please, in what way is Domingo a “crook”? The allegations of harassment and the abuse of power are serious, but so far have not risen to the level of criminal accusations. Stop being so hysterical regarding PD, he has done more good than harm!

  • Bashar al He says:

Norman isn’t it enough already? Stop adding these “allegations” to every Domingo post. Get a life.

  • The View from America says:

    Oh, joy.

  • Resigned says:

    They can have him.

  • onceatenor says:

hence, given these carefully noted allegations, he is a perfect fit for present day Russia

  • Pianofortissimo says:

    Is Domingo’s Russian singing intelligible?

  • Gustavo says:

    Bash MET instead!

  • Oracleoftruth says:

Russia sure loves their rapist artists. I know this for a fact.

    • M2N2K says:

That may be true, but it has nothing whatsoever to do with Placido Domingo.

    • sonoio says:

did you rape someone and got a price for that in Russia???? how much BS are people taking without knowing NOTHING about the person who’s reputation is spoiled with NONSENSES___

  • XAVIER says:

    Good luck to you Domingo!
There are lots of beautiful girls there (if you still remember what to do!). Don’t forget the Blue Pill!
