Very sad news. He was a big influence to many – I knew him as organist at St Magnus cathedral and music teacher at Papdale Primary School in Kirkwall. I will always remember what a nice man he was, and a great musician.
A genuine gentleman and an accomplished church organist. Sadly missed by St Annes past choristers and formerly as our annual after dinner guest speaker which was an occasion on it’s own. Condolences to Elspeth, Et Manet venit Sol.
