The rising star of Victoria Wood’s daughter

The winner of the 10th Cesti competition at Innsbruck’s Early Music Festival was Grace Durham, 27,  until recently a member of the junior ensemble at Dresden’s Semper Oper. The prize is worth 4,000 Euros. She sang arias by Hasse and Melani.

Ms Durham is the daughter of the much-loved TV comedienne Victoria Wood, who died in April 2016.

    • Vic’s idea…her sue and Joan Taylor didn’t go into morning assembly one day .they fastened the three sets of door handles together and when miss Lester went to leave the hall thru the main set..well we all had to file out thru the small side door by the stage…they didn’t get caught..
