mainJonathan Lo is to be music director of England’s Northern Ballet. He succeeds John Pryce-Jones who retires after 27 years.
Jonathan Lo read music at Oxford. He is Principal Guest Conductor of the Xi’an Symphony Orchestra in China, a Jette Parker Young Artist at the Royal Opera House and Principal Conductor of the Haffner Orchestra, New Bristol Sinfonia and Manchester Chamber Choir.
I think your picture is of a different Jonathan Lo- the Jonathan Lo who is the cellist of the wonderful Rolston String Quartet. It looks like you have even cropped the cello out!

All good wishes to him, but also to ‘JPJ’ from a former member from the early days of the Opera North orchestra.
Northern Ballet are one of the great institutions. I hope Jonathan is given the opportunity to build on JPJ’s legacy and expand the scope of their orchestral work.
