Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving man. What was he doing at La Scala anyhow? Sweeping the stage?
A woman went to help, one man eventually did a little bit and the other man stood and gawked. Did they think it was part of the show?
Happened to Barenboim as well some months back.
That was so painful to watch. I tell people at every rehearsal/concert that a stage is one of the most dangerous places to be.
Surely Poutney wouldn’t need telling but then different standards being upheld everywhere.
