The Leipzig Gewandhaus is putting on a Mahler Festival in 2021.

Ten orchestras, twelve days. Taking part are the Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam with Fabio Luisi, the London Symphony Orchestra and Sir Simon Rattle, plus Berlin Phil, the Vienna Philharmonic and Bavarian Radio. The Gewandhaus Orchestra with principal conductor Andris Nelsons will cover the 2nd and 8th symphonies.

Leipzig last did a Mahler cycle with Riccardo Chailly a decade ago.

So now we have Liverpool first, Amsterdam second, Leipzig 3rd.
