ENO offers free tickets to opening nights

e.g. nobody wanted to buy the tickets.
All opera performances operate at a loss. If there are seats which will clearly remain unoccupied, the company is to be commended for making them available to young people, and bringing new audiences into opera.
I hope some of it translates into regular paid attendance.
