Davide Martello has cycled his piano through disaster zones, but his brakes gave out this week on a steep San Francisco street.
The piano’s a write-off.

That’s sad. Maybe he could take an idea from François-René Duchable:

I never heard of this before. That’s very sad.
Had a thought looking at the picture. Looks like about a 6-footer. Our 5’10” (1.78m) Kawai weighs 660 pounds (300kg). Think about dragging that kind of weight around San Francisco on a bicycle. No wonder his brakes gave out.
Don’t give up, Davide!
Perhaps a slightly smaller piano?
I’m impressed by what he does, but trying to take a 660lb piano up what looks like a 10 percent gradient on a bike is borderline insane. He’s very lucky he didn’t kill somebody.
