The Austrian Stefan Vladar, professor of piano at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna, has been named Generalmusikdirektor of the German city of Lübeck.
Vladar, 53, has served as chief conductor of the Wiener KammerOrchesters for the past decade.
