Very strange, as the LSO have never been invited to perform at Carnegie since Sir Clive took over as director. It was the LSO who propelled him to these dizzy heights!
True, but the LSO manages to make Geffen Hall’s flawed acoustics sound pretty good.

Shall we say “modern” Orthodox? The bride looks lovely but her gown is not exactly modest and I wonder if Cipriani provided kosher food? Nevertheless, mazel tov to them both!

Some people choose music like ‘Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen’ for such occasions, they like the tunes but forgot the worlds.
No, I wasn’t there. Though I am called Joy. And the wedding was described somewhere as “orthodox”. So Jewish people do not marry on Shabbat. And as someone else has remarked, orthodox Jewish women have their arms covered normally – ‘specially at their weddings!
1) it was not shabbat ( wedding occurred past sundown)
2) covering or not covering— is not a law but falls within a tradition
3) with respect to Jewish LAW the wedding was orthodox ( mikvah, ketubbah, , witnesses, it not being shabbat, etc)
