The boutique artists’ manager Mark Newbanks has dropped the pianist from his elite list, apparently for being too high maintenance.
Mark erased Yuja from his website this month and she has reciprocated in kind.
This is an uncomfortable situation for an international artist, but she won’t be alone for long. The vultures are circling quite low in the sky.
Mark Newbanks is left with just three conductors – Dudamel, Salonen and Lionel Bringuier.

The French conductor Frederic Chaslin has just given his own reconstruction of Mahler’s Tenth Symphony in Zagreb, with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra.
In a pre-concert talk, he said he finished it last spring, but musicians say he was still making changes on the day of performance. A recording is planned next year in Vienna.
The people of Krasnoyarsk, in Siberia, have voted to name their airport Dmitri Hvorostovsky.
The great baritone grew up in the city and returned there often.
The airport is presently known as Yemelyanovo.
