Better than ‘I need a drink before I sing!’ – as you also get in the profession!
I’d need a drink before I ever want to hear him again …..
If you can’t say anything positive, why comment at all. Not nice.
The nastiest comments on this site, YouTube and elsewhere seem to be reserved for singers. I’ve often wondered who makes them – possibly disappointed singers whose career has not been as brilliant as they think they deserved or maybe recently graduated music students from the University of Podunk who think they know everything already. And yes, it’s not nice.
It may also be because: (i) singing is hard; (ii) the sound different singers make varies considerably more than between instrumentalists; (iii) the sounds singers make differs over their career, and even between different evenings.
Many audience members don’t appreciate any of these nuances.
