Sadness: EU youth orchestra founder dies at 88

We have been notified of the death on Armistice Day of Joy Bryer, who with her husband Lionel founded the European Union Youth Orchestra and the European Community Youth Orchestra.

She is survived by three daughters – Lisa Villiers, Lesley King-Lewis and Tania Bryer – and six
grandchildren. Her family would love to hear memories from past members of the orchestra.
