A remarkable lady. She was MD of the HK Phil in her 20s, and at that time was a youth icon throughout Hong Kong. She had a column for young people in the Hong Kong Standard, not just on music but on all sorts of issues of importance to them, and I remember thinking how few conductors would be in a position to be presented as someone young people would listen to for life advice.

I hope her relinquishing the baton at the HK Sinfonietta is simply to allow her to pursue further musical interests and not because of health or other problems. But either way her record of achievement is already massive and distinguished.
