Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah – now in the Babushka version
mainFrom Sergei Saratovsky, chief psychologist of the Ministry of Education of the Saratov region
‘An unexpected surprise – the song “Hallelujah” – from the Grandmothers from Buranova in my office. Just listen and rejoice at their soulful singing and see how their faces are transformed at the time of the performance of a musical composition’:
Beautiful singing, it is moving seeing these incredible women singing after so many painful movements of history and humanity. I wish I could have been there to witness it myself.
As much antipathy I have for you Mr. Lebrecht, thank you for sharing this, from the bottom of my heart. It is these little things that I find most precious in the world.
Wonderful. Thank you for posting this. These great ladies should make an album….!
Excuse me, my English not so good…. what is “album”?
🙂
A CD with lots of “tunes” on….
It’s what we used to call a “record” – those big black flat disks that you put on a turntable. I suppose now you could think of it as a collection of songs that get published together.
Бабки наверное и не знают кто написал это.
Да нет, бабушки довольно продвинутые!
Music is universal and moves the soul!
habe mit geschunkelt. Könnte in Raa gewesen sein nach dem Krieg.
Beautiful no matter what language
