I’m looking forward to their Strauss.
Nah, the Strauss can wait. (Well, no, I picked it up a couple of weeks ago.) But—oh man—Bill was amazing in the PSO/Honeck’s Brahms 2 earlier in this new season! And that makes Strauss just seem trivial. Maybe Bill has achieved something like Nirvana: you cease to be merely an excellent horn player and become one with the Art. Well, um, something like that.
He’s performing this Mozart concerto with PSO next week!
I’m quite sure I saw this on YouTube first.
The conductor is David Chan.
David Chan of the Met Orchestra? (He does conduct.)
Well, at least it wasn’t another joke about his name.
But it’s the wrong words…!

Well that was fun.
That was nice of them.
