William Caballero, principal horn of the Pittsburgh Symphony, was rehearsing a Mozart concerto with the Camerata Notturna when this happened:

The conductor is David Chan. You see it here first.

  • Ted says:

This has already been done, more than five decades ago! Here:

  • Dave says:

I’m looking forward to their Strauss.

    • Paul Johnston says:

Nah, the Strauss can wait. (Well, no, I picked it up a couple of weeks ago.) But—oh man—Bill was amazing in the PSO/Honeck’s Brahms 2 earlier in this new season! And that makes Strauss just seem trivial. Maybe Bill has achieved something like Nirvana: you cease to be merely an excellent horn player and become one with the Art. Well, um, something like that.

  • steven holloway says:

I’m quite sure I saw this on YouTube first.

  • Altfloete says:

    The conductor is David Chan.

  • Well, at least it wasn’t another joke about his name.

  • Just sayin' says:

    But it’s the wrong words…!

  • Bruce says:

    Well that was fun.

  • Timothy Reeves says:

    That was nice of them.
