Several of these famous well-wishers manage at least one wrong note.

  • Caravaggio says:

Cheesy and unnecessary. Not every anniversary is an occasion or excuse for silliness and poor humor. But to this we’ve come. It is no wonder that opera singers have turned into parodies; few can take them seriously any longer. Might as well since there are no important voices left.

  • CYM says:

    « Art Explains ! Entertainment Exploits ! »
« Entertainment Gives Us Whant We Want ! Art Gives Us What We Don’t Know We Want »
    — Ernst Bacon

    • Pianofortissimo says:

So, according to this reasoning egg and bacon is entertainment. What about roasted grasshoppers? Art? For whom? (I’m quite sure that I don’t want it.)

  • John Borstlap says:

But it is a quite difficult tune. Even Stravinsky did not get it right:

  • Player says:

Are;s how Carlos Kleiber got the VPO to sing happy birthday (with fermata) for Dr Marcel Prawy… Watch it all (5 minutes), or skip to 4:25…

  • Robert Groen says:

    The ones who are dead.
