The Dutch star, who has been incapacitated since April, has cancelled the opening week of the Leipzig season.

She is replaced by Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, 22.

We wish Janine better.

What does she have? Norman, please learn and tell us! Does she have any dangerous disease?

2 days ago, Rachlin uploaded a video of them playing at a private concert.

  • Santipab says:

She’s still advertised as playing with the LSO and Rattle at the Barbican on 19 September and on the following tour to Tokyo and Korea.

    • Calent says:

The venues usually announce their artist replacements just a couple of days before the event so that they guarantee maximum ticket sales – of course everyone wants to go and listen to Janine!

  • Melisande says:

For your information: Janine Jansen has a hand injury and this forces her for several months not to play.

  • Melisande says:

On September 8 she was planned to play Bernstein’s Serenade after Plato’s ‘Symposion’ with Camerata Salzburg conducted by Daniel Blendulf at the Rudolfinum in Prague (Leonard Bernstein at 100). However, she will be replaced by Hilary Hahn.

    • Calent says:

True. But she still played on the 25th August. There is a review on Lübecker Nachrichten website. She has also posted about it in her Facebook page.

  • Jean says:

She is back tonight and tomorrow for Berg’s concerto with Tonhalle Zurich.

  • Eugene says:

She is now out for a recital in Hong Kong on 23 Sept.
