  • Gala El Hadidi says:

Dear Mr. Lebrecht, I sang with Omer and the Israel Philharmonic (Alongside Waltraud Meier and Rachel Willis Sorensen), the low Mezzo Part on Mahler 8th at the Dresdner Music Festspiele in Mai 2016. I also sang die Zweite Magd in Strauss Daphne with Omer in 2010. And the opera director who invited me to join the Semperoper Dresden is an Israeli (Eytan Pessen). I am very proud that this is the case. and I have worked with many Israeli colleagues that I am now proud to call my friends. (Just thought you might be interested to know this)
