The mezzo-soprano Valentina Levko, soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of USSR from 1959 to 1982 and subsequently a distinguished voice professor, died yesterday, the day after her 92nd birthday.

Outside of the USSR, she sang at La Scala and at opera houses in Germany, France, Canada and the US.

She was extensively recorded.
