A woman who wrecked her luthier husband’s musical instruments in the midst of an alimony dispute has been sentenced to two years by a Japanese court in Nagoya.

Qin Yue, 35, wrecked 54 violins and 70 bows and scrawled graffiti on the walls of her husband’s workshop.

She is described as ethnic Chinese, he as a Norwegian in his 60s.

    Unbelievable

In Australia only men are the instigators of domestic violence. Just so you know.

  • SVM says:

Time to pass similar sentences on reckless/aggressive security personnel and baggage handlers at airports… judging by all the reports on Slipped Disc (which are, surely, the tip of the iceberg), some of them must have got through at least 54 instruments (not meaning to disregard the 70 bows).

  • David K. Nelson says:

The sentence would have been 5 years, but she also smashed some violas.
