I was there 🙂 This is like, 14 years ago? That’s the Gunnar Sævigsal from the Grieg Academy in Bergen, where I have worked since 1987. The violinist was my student for a short while. She finished the performance with my bow.
Looks more like the plug fell out, not that the bow broke.
Agreed, but site policy is to never let facts interfere with a headline.

But I think we can all agree (particularly Bratschegirl of course) that it behooves all when violinists let their hair down every once in a while.
