In the Christian land of Donald J. Trump, it appears that God’s work doesn’t pay:

Dear Sponsors & Friends:
As you know, following the successful 2017 US tour of the Sistine Chapel Choir, AEG Presents and the Choir pursued a multi-city national tour for July 2018.  Due to a variety of challenges, AEG and theSistine ChapelChoir have decided to cancel the national tour. As a result, the Detroit performance scheduled for July 11, 2018 has been canceled.
While we are disappointed at this news, we will continue to seek to enrich people’s lives and promote culture consistent with our mission.  We thank each and every one of you for your support for this planned tour and only regret that you won’t have the opportunity to hear them here in Detroit.
Ticketholders will be reimbursed by the entity that received payment (Ticketmaster, Detroit Opera House, or CTS).
Thank you for your support, understanding and prayers!
John

    Atrocious syntax from Mr. Hale.

AEG Presents said only that “the cancellation had to do with logistics.” Dates were:

    July 3 – Atlanta – Fox Theater
July 7 – New York – Radio City Music Hall
July 9 – St. Louis – Fabulous Fox Theater
July 11 – Detroit – Detroit Opera House
    July 13 – Miami – Knight Center
    July 17 – Boston – Boch Center
July 21 – Chicago – Arie Crown Theater
July 23 – Los Angeles – Microsoft Theater

The US is not the land of Donald J. Trump.

The obsessed left turns every story into something about Trump, which keeps his name out front by “journalists” who no longer report news but who present speculation as news. Most of us could care less and have moved on. The obsessed care about nothing else which is why their ideology is being abandoned. Normally I don’t mix politics with music and opera, but highlighting the Sistine Chapel sorry commentary about Trump just makes my point about the obsessed left.

  • Jean Allen says:

Does anyone know what the specific logistics problem is SAID to be? It seems highly unusual that an unknown logistics problem would suddenly be known one month before the first scheduled performance.

Can we find out from the Pope why they could sing for a Fashion Crowd as part of a Fancy Dress Spectacle at the Metropolitan Con Artist Gala here last month but have to cancel a tour to what would more than likely have been Catholics who worship Christ not Anna Wintour and Money and Fashion?

    SCANDAL SHAME !!!!!!

    • Titatta says:

      Hello from Rome

the tour has been cancelled by the Vatican due to a scandal which involves the Administrative Manager of the Sistine Chapel Choir
As you said, money affairs ! Pope Francis does not like those who make money in the name of God
This man escaped, he is now in the USA, probably in NYC with his family
as in Italy he would have been put into a jal
