  • Olassus says:

Tacky to use her fame to get better treatment than ordinary customers. And no, the airline does not “have to explain to all [her] fans.” Eeesh.

    • Nik says:

And what is a mitic? On Google I could only find a Serbian footballer who died ten years ago.

      • fildivoce says:

“mitic” = mythical, legendary (from Italian “mitico”)

        • Nik says:

I’m still not 100% convinced that it is a valid word in English. Which dictionary did you copy that from?

          • fildivoce says:

Oh, it’s not a word in English (& I didn’t mean to imply that it was). Just showing the multilingual mindset where it would have come from (the emphasis being on “mitico”),

          • Bruce says:

“You will have to explain to all my fans why I come everyday to the mitic @teatroallascala with the same pair of shoes!”

Well, she is Bulgarian, and according to Google Translate, “mitic” in Bulgarian means “mythical.” I suppose “mythical” can have two meanings in Bulgarian the way it has in English: imaginary, or super-famous.

Maybe she actually said what she wanted to say: “explain why I am coming to this legendary opera house every day wearing the same pair of shoes.”

  • Ceasar says:

The horror of seeing the same shoes on someone the next day…

  • Carlo says:

I think she earns enough money to get a new pairs….

  • Razz Matazz says:

Cut a diva some slack! If an airline had managed to lose THREE of my suitcases, I too would be mightily p*ssed off.

    • Bill says:

All 3 suitcases were most likely checked together, and the same mishap befell all 3. It’s not like the baggage system says “oh, this passenger checked several bags, we better take extra care here!”

  • Phillip says:

What a vapid hag. Yet another reason to get away from this inane society and relocate to the Arctic Circle.

  • John says:

At least with @lufthansa there’s some chance of the organisation attempting to resolve the situation and offering reasonable adjustments / apology. The contrast with BestAvoided because there service is BeyondAbysmal is palpable

    • Nik says:

Rubbish. They are all as bad as each other.
Unfortunately airlines only compete on price these days, not customer service.

  • Tamino says:

Last I checked, Red Cross Italy now started a campaign to collect money for the great cause. You can donate under #YonchevaCenterOfUniverse.
Everybody get your priorities right. Make Yoncheva‘s looks great again! Yoncheva first!
If you happen to live on the Mediterranean coast, you might want to check the beach for shoes from refugees who drowned. Let‘s all help Madame Yoncheva!

  • barry guerrero says:

Hand off, all of you! This is the person of whom I was told during the Netrebko/DG story is, quote, “developed talent behind her” – meaning developed beyond Netrebko.

Indeed, rake the beaches for shoes.

    • barry guerrero says:

But more than anything, Lufthansa should send a representative to explain all this to her fans!

  • The View from America says:

It is an outrage. I for one always need to have my shoes close at hand — for throwing.

  • barry guerrero says:

I think Slavic women were actually sexier when they were on calendars as, “lady tractor driver of the month”. They never should have let that Ninotchka run around Paris.
