A British music director dies in the US

Andrew Massey, former music director of the Toledo Symphony died on Friday of cancer in his Vermont home. He was 72.

He left England in 1978 to become assistant conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra and was music director of Toledo from 1990 to 2001.
