A passing conversational remark triggered this contemporary thought: have our performer prototypes ever been so clear-cut.

If you’re a violinist, for instance, are you a

For cellists, are you hair

 or thair ?

And while on hirsuteness, maestro mops:

Which are you?

What kind of pianist are you?

 or ?

As for managers….

      Reminds me of the story, I can’t remember who said this, but it was back in the 1940’s or 50’s. “We’ve got Kreisler, Heifetz, Elman, Milstein, [etc. etc.], and the only one who looks like a violinist is Einstein.”
