Jonas Kaufmann will sing New Year’s Eve … in Moscow

The sought-after tenor has rebuffed bids from the German television networks to sing in the New Year at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatoire in Moscow.

The National Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by the rising Italian conductor, Speranza Scappucci.

    And does he then board an airplane to Japan? His first concert(after the second postponement) is in Osaka on January 4th.

      Then fly to NY on Jan 20 where the “resale” tickets in the parquet are going for $1000 !

        According to my friend, the tickets are far from sold out in Japan. It’s understandable after two postponements because in the first week of January(more important than the Christmas week), the airline fee and the hotel fee are the highest in the year…
