Death of an influential French pianist, 70

The violinist Renaud Capucon has reported the death of his teacher Daria Hovora, professor of chamber music at the Paris Conservatoire and a mentor to many musicians, among them Adam Laloum, Simon Ghraichy, Cedric Tiberghien and members of the Modigliani Quartet.

 

 

A sought-after piano accompanist, she worked with ischa Maisky, Ivry Gitlis and many others. She made two recordings for Deutsche Grammophon.
