The Japanese conductor, 82, has been advised by his doctors not to undertake performances after long journeys.

Ozawa, who has survived cancer of the oesophagus, has cancelled the Berlin Philharmonic in January.

    I just checked it out in Amazon and was shocked by the fact that the Kindle edition is more expensive than the paperback copy. Why???!!!

      Perhaps they want to reduce the paperback stock ?

      In the UK books are zero rated for VAT whereas Kindle downloads are taxable. This often explains the price disparity. I don’t know whether this is also the case in other countries.

    Sad news indeed. For a while, I had harboured the hope that the Maestro would regain his health, and that I would get to see him make music once again. I guess that is not to be.
