I think you’ll find he already had an agent – HarrisonParrott – who did wonders for his career. Will be interesting to see what IMG manage…

    • Thomas Black says:

If this is true, evidently a HUGE loss for Harrison Parrott and kudos to IMG for discovering him!

I saw two of his concerts in Bridgewater Hall this season: a gorgeous Rach Symphony 2 (and I don’t even like that work) and a fiery, soulful Dvorak 7. I’ve rarely seen musicians so warmly recognise a young conductor who was so gracious and humble: both the BBC Phil and Halle gave him solo bows. Clearly he has a strong artistic presence that musicians respect and regard highly.

I see he is conducting at the Barbican next February. I, for one, will be making the trip from Manchester to see it.

  • Just Derek says:

I saw him in April 2016 in a concert which included a thrilling and convincing account of Bruckner’s 9th symphony.
He has talent. I enjoyed the performance and believe he will do well.

  • Bruce says:

    Well, now you have 🙂

  • David Taylor says:

I like him. Here’s a guy to watch.

  • erich says:

Welser-Möst frequently chose very talented assistants….
