Jim Carr is Canada’s Federal Minister of Natural Resources.

Last week he went back to his first job, 50 years ago – as an oboist in the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.

    Yes! Finally: a politician who can prove his genuine connection with music and be a role model. He is not the only one – pace Edward Heath, Helmut Schmidt… But there are fewer and fewer of them, especially in this side of the Atlantic.
