Syrian sculptor Nizar Ali Badr has been capturing the story of refugees from his country, using pebbles from his local beach. His art has become the inspiration for a unique film — the concept of Latvian violinist Gidon Kremer, who asked Georgian animator Sandro Kancheli to bring the stone figures to life along with his music. Ingenious and moving (because the subject is moving), but with art it has nothing to do.
Too many people in the Middle East (male, age 15 – 30) have nothing better to do than killing each other and innocent bystanders, under the banner of nonsense slogans.
Thanks, Max
Is there a link to the movie somewhere, rather than to previews?
thanks
