Daniel Harding has pulled out of  The Rake’s Progress this summer at Aix-en-Provence with a wrist injury.

The Norwegian Eivind Gullberg Jensen steps in.

Harding’s is the seventh major cancellation this week.

    if all good things come in threes will it mean that all bad things come in sevens ? or maybe what seems to us a bitter trial is often blessing in disguise ?

    As every conductor knows, Stravinsky’s scores are full of irregular wrist movements, so indeed: a vulnerable wrist would surely ruin the Rake.
