Enrique Arturo Diemecke, music director of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic has been appointed artistic general director of the Teatro Colón, the leading opera house in South America.
A Mexican, Diemecke has spent 12 years with the Buenos Aires Philharmonic for 12 years and 27 with the Flint Symphony Orchestra in Michigan.
