Don Davis, principal trombone of the Boston Philharmonic since it was founded in 1979, has died of cancer.

    Touching tribute. I remember when John DeLutis died on tour with SFO – on tour, which featured Bruckner 4. Trombone players live and die for Bruckner. RIP, Mr. Davis.
