I’d keep an eye on that oboe section….

  • Dan says:

And what lovely music to accompany the video…

They could have just been playing 4’33”.

  • MacroV says:

How has this become a thing? It didn’t originate with me, but “Congratulations! You’ve invented the photograph!”

      So pointless isn’t it ?

Bed? Wrong side? They spend most of their holidays rehearsing, travelling and giving 3 concerts, so allow them a bit of teenage slack.

        • Max Grimm says:

From the right side of the bed, the lads and lasses of the NYO certainly deserve to have a bit of fun (I suspect the concept of “teenage slack” will be foreign to a fair few of them).
From the soberly solemn side of the bed, one could certainly argue the ‘mannequin challenge’ (along with a fair few other challenges and trends) to be pointless.
Personally, I agree with Patrick. I would most certainly keep an eye on that oboe section.

          • Jaybuyer says:

Personally, I love the tubas, dozing off on top of their instruments. I have seen them doing this (or reading paperbacks) at rehearsals. There isn’t that much to do as a tuba player.
